Sale conditions of wood are specified by the regulation of Director – General of the Sate Forests.
Within the framework of the individual sale , the foresters try to meet the fast growing demand, because more and more people use wood in order to heat their houses. Contrary to general opinion, these are not only village people, even though they prevail among recipients. The growth of firewood demand is the result of occurrence of new housing estates built in the suburbs of large agglomerations, where houses are usually equipped in fireplace heating installations.
Firewood is not only the most ecological heat source, but also is much more attractive in respect of relation of price and electric efficiency, rather than cola, oil, gas or electric power.
In recent years, the Sate Forests increased the sale of firewood of one third – up to over 4 million cubic meters annually. Some of customers choose already prepared and cut into pieces wood, the others very willingly obtain it by themselves after arranging all details and fulfilling particular safety conditions, and after paying the fee; that concerns mainly so called "thinnings". Such a raw material is very cheap, that is why many people from village areas profit from such possibility.

Konsultacje społeczne w sprawie wniosku o derogację na użycie środka ochrony roślin Dursban 480 EC
Regionalna Dyrekcja Lasów Państwowych w Poznaniu posiada certyfikat FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) i jest zobowiązana do przestrzegania zasad promowanych przez FSC®.
Jedną z zasad jest prowadzenie odpowiedniej polityki w zakresie stosowania środków ochrony roślin. FSC® określiła listę substancji aktywnych (FSC-STD-30-001a), których nieuzgodnione zastosowanie skutkuje odebraniem lub zawieszeniem certyfikatu. Na liście tej znajduje się m.in. substancja aktywna o nazwie chloropiryfos (związek z grupy fosforoorganicznych), która wchodzi w skład środka ochrony roślin Dursban 480 EC.
W przypadku konieczności użycia takiego środka ochrony roślin przez posiadacza certyfikatu FSC®, musi on ubiegać się o specjalną derogację, zgodnie z procedurą opisaną w dokumencie FSC-PRO-30-001 V1-0, której elementem są m.in. konsultacje społeczne.
RDLP w Poznaniu w latach 2018-2023 planuje użycie Dursbanu 480 EC do zwalczania pędraków na powierzchniach, gdzie będą prowadzone odnowienia lasu, zalesienia oraz na plantacjach nasiennych, z tego względu występuje do FSC® o derogację na ten środek i rozpoczyna w tej sprawie konsultacje społeczne.
W załączeniu przesyłamy informację dotyczącą konieczności użycia Dursbanu 480 EC. RDLP w Poznaniu wnosi o zgłaszanie uwag odnośnie możliwości użycia przez tutejszą dyrekcję środka ochrony roślin Dursban 480 EC, w terminie do 23 lutego 2018 r. Uwagi można zgłaszać na adres: Regionalna Dyrekcja Lasów Państwowych w Poznaniu, ul. Gajowa 10, 60-959 Poznań, lub elektronicznie: sekretariat@poznan.lasy.gov.pl, w tytule wpisując „konsultacje FSC- Dursban”.
